Skill Set

I primarily consider myself a front-end designer/developer. However, I’ve learned just enough PHP and JavaScript to get in trouble. This helps me to customize off-the-shelf CMS* solutions and add more advanced functionality to your site.

Programming Languages

  • XHTML/CSS
  • JQuery
  • PHP
  • ActionScript

Programs

  • Dreamweaver
  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • Flash

Platforms

  • Mac - Preferred
  • PC - If all the Macs in the world disappeared. I actually bought a netbook, but am planning on putting Mac OSX on it. Does this still count as a PC?

CMS’* I Use

  • Expression Engine

My new weapon of choice! Expression Engine allows total flexibility of layout with a powerful, customizable backend.

  • Joomla

With thousands of 3rd party plugins and a huge developer community, Joomla allows you to make professional level community sites on a budget.

  • WordPress

The little blog engine that could! WordPress is a great ‘light’ solution for small businesses. It has the easiest user interface of all the CMS’s.

*For the uninitiated, CMS = Content Management System. Don’t worry, I’ll walk you through it when you hire me.
